How do your portable barcode terminal devices connect to the PC’s and will this cause a problem as we use McAfee Safeboot Encryption?
 
Most portable barcode units have a driver. The driver must be installed for the terminals to work; they are not a typical USB device that relies on integral Windows drivers.
 
Our application 'talks' to the terminals through Microsoft ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Centre. These do not connect as a mass storage device, instead they use the manufacturers driver to connect to the portable.
