New Visual for your samples in a box

A graphical grid view of your box is now available in addition the original list view. This will give you a true life representation of the layout of your box, a green dot determines a location that is occupied and a red dot one that's available.

The grid view allows you to quickly see free locations within your box and also has a drag and drop ability to move samles around quickly and easily.

Another change in the custom user definable fields is that, now only the user fields being used are visible when you create or edit a sample. This simplifies the, create and edit sample screens and reduces the risk of users putting data into the wrong fields.

 

Different user definable fields available for each project, now each department can have a different set of headings for each of the user definable fields, no more need to have a site wide general consensus on all user fields.

A new area is the MySamples function; with this you can select samples to your own personal collection for editing and use. This means you can access the samples you need on a regular basis, without having to search for them each time by location or project.

When selecting approved users for a project you now have the ability to select all the users to assign them to one project, particularly helpful if you have a large number of users as you now no longer have to individually select each one.

 

To allow for more user customization we can use your institutions preferred icons for buildings, freezers, shelves, racks, draws and boxes.  

Multiple samples can now be edited at the same time, using common windows style of clicking the first sample then holding Shift and clicking the last sample (or Ctrl for selecting random) This was designed to help save time in the event of you needing to edit a batch of samples in one go.

 You can now add your own mass types so if the measurement you are looking for isn’t there you can add it. Along with this the mass field is no longer mandatory to complete, which has been a popular request from users.

Software licensing changed from hardware dongle (DesKey) to software file. This just means you don’t have to worry about losing the small dongle or that someone might move it! But this will mean an awful lot more to your IT department. 

You now have the option to choose what data is displayed and the order of the columns in the list view by project. This now means that you can see the most relevant data for your own projects. 

Option to export and import label designs allowing for custom designs to be made for you to assist you in designing the most appropriate labels. 

Test print button added to graphical label designer screen. So you can see what your label will print like without leaving the label design screen.
